Justin Richards, 28, a patient at the Rockland Psychiatrict Center in Orangeburg, has been indicted on charges of assault and resisting arrest in connection with a fight with another patient. On September 28, Richards and another patient got into a patient and safety officers responded to stop the altercation.
District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said one of the safety officers suffered a broken leg. The officers had separated the two patients when Richards allegedly charged at them. The defendant was indicted Wednesday by a Rockland County Grand Jury for Assault 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest.
