  • The Clarkstown Architecture and Landscape Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. in town hall. 

Wednesday, Aug. 14

  • A plaque will be unveiled at 6:30 p.m. at the end of Piermont Pier in Piermont commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the creation of Camp Shanks and the 68th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. Piermont Pier was the disembarkation point for Camp Shanks. There will be an honor guard from the Tappan Fire Department for the event led by Pete Marino of the Piermont VFW.

  • The New City Library Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. in the library at 220 North Main Street.
