Spring Valley Man Indicted On Rape And Burglary Charges

Carlos Palma-Argueta, 37, of Spring Valley was indicted Wednesday on rape, burglary and other charges. District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said on June 29 at approximately 7 p.m., the defendant violated an order of protection and entered the victim’s apartment without permission. He said when the victims attempted to call police Palma-Argueta allegedly took her phone and forced her into the bedroom where he had forcible sexual intercourse with her.

A Rockland County Grand Jury charged him with Rape in the 1st & 3rd Degree, Burglary in the 2nd Degree as a Sexually Motivated Felony, Burglary in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree.
