Wednesday AM Winter Weather Advisories For The Hudson Valley
Schools in the mid-Hudson Valley have announced delays.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A wintry mix will continue to fall on the Hudson Valley Wednesday morning, and the National Weather Service has winter weather advisories extended for Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and northern Westchester counties and a hazardous weather outlook issued for southern Westchester.

In most of the lower Hudson Valley, light freezing rain continues, and additional ice accumulations of a light glaze are possible.

Patchy light freezing rain is possible early this morning in southern Westchester.
Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could affect the morning commute.

In the mid-Hudson Valley, additional snow accumulations of less than one inch are possible, with ice accumulations of a light glaze. Mixed precipitation will change over to plain rain this morning as temperatures rise above freezing.
All the advisories are due to end at 10 a.m.
As temperatures rise above freezing, steady rainfall will return to the region for late today into tonight, but all areas should be above freezing by that time, the NWS said.
Then it's going to stay wet and get warm.
"Mid 50s are now a possibility for Thursday afternoon. Temperatures drop back to around 40°F or even the upper 30s, Thursday night," Bruce Furbeck of First Due Weather said on Facebook.

- Thursday - Rain. Highs around 50. Southwest winds around 5 mph, becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of rain 80 percent.
- Thursday Night - Rain, mainly in the evening. Lows around 40. East winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
- Friday - Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain in the morning. Highs in the mid 50s. East winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.
- Friday Night - Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s.
- Saturday - Partly sunny in the morning, then becoming mostly cloudy. Highs in the mid 40s.
- Saturday Night - Cloudy. A chance of rain in the evening, then rain likely after midnight. Lows in the mid 30s. Chance of rain 60 percent.
