April The Giraffe, Internet Sensation, May Be Pregnant Again

The celebrity giraffe gave birth to her first baby in April.

HARPURSVILLE, NY — Fire up the giraffe cam. April the giraffe may be pregnant again, just months after the birth of her first baby captivated millions.

"I cannot confirm nor deny the possibility of another pregnancy," Jordan Patch, owner of Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, N.Y., said Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America."

The internet watched April for 65 days this spring, waiting for her baby to come on a webcam set up by the animal park. On April 15, she finally delivered Tajiri, her now-7-month-old calf.

Tajiri is an independent little giraffe who's growing well with April helping him along, Patch said. "She's been an amazing mother," he said.
