Cops, Robbers Exchange Gunfire Outside NYC Nightclub: NYPD
A manhunt is underway after an early Friday shootout outside a Flatiron nightclub between NYPD officers and suspected robbers, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A shootout unfolded outside a Flatiron nightclub early Friday between NYPD police officers and suspected robbers, police said.
No one was injured during the chaotic incident outside Club Doux along West 21st Street and a manhunt for two suspects continued late into the morning, authorities said.
The incident began 2:48 a.m. when plainclothes police officers were told by a club bouncer about a robbery in front of the club near Sixth Avenue, police said.

Cops responded and spotted as-yet-unidentified two people committing a robbery, authorities said. As cops tried to stop the robbery, one suspect began shooting at them, police said.
Police officers returned fire, but none of their shots hit the suspect, authorities said.

The two suspected robbers sped off in a light-colored sedan and remain on the loose as of Friday morning, police said.
