Here Are The 10 NYC Neighborhoods to Watch In 2026: See List

Neighborhoods in Manhattan took up two other spots in the top five of the list.

NEW YORK CITY — A new report from StreetEasy show the 10 neighborhoods in New York City saw the greatest increase in internet searches from 2024 to 2025.

Topping the list was the Financial District, which saw a nearly 47 percent increase in searches. The median rent price in the neighborhood is around $4,690 with asking prices hovering just under $1.2 million.

Neighborhoods in Manhattan took up two other spots in the top five.

For Brooklyn, Windsor Terrace proved to be the most searched neighborhood in the borough, according to StreetEasy. Searches increased almost 45 percent from 2024 to 2025. Windsor Terrace had a median rent price of $3,800 with asking prices at $1,125,000. Carroll Gardens, Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn also landed in the top 10.

In Queens, Sunnyside came out on top as the most searched neighborhood in the borough and as the most affordable neighborhood on the list overall. Median rents fall under $2,700 and asking prices below $500,000. Ridgewood and Long Island City also made it on the list.
