MTA Subway Delays: These 10 Lines Ran Behind
A disruptive passenger, mechanical problems and crew shortages prompted a spate of delays for commuters Wednesday morning.

NEW YORK CITY — Delays hit 10 different subway lines during rush hour Wednesday, MTA officials said.
An array of problems — from disruptive passengers to crew shortages — prompted the delays, according to the transit agency's posts.
The 2/3 lines ran with delays after NYPD officers responded to a person being disruptive at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, the MTA posted at 8:43 a.m.

The A line's northbound trains were held up after a train had its brakes activated at 88th Street, an 8:39 a.m. post stated.
Straphangers had to wait longer for B trains heading south, according to a 5:19 a.m. post.

"We're running as much service as we can with the train crews we have available," the post stated.
J and M trains headed toward 121st Street/Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue ran with delays after crews restored third-rail power on the Williamsburg Bridge, the MTA posted at 8:44 a.m.
Delays that were resolved by 8:55 a.m. included the N/R/W line, where a door malfunction at Lexington Avenue/59th Street held up northbound trains.
D trains headed south were delayed because of crew shortages, but the issue appeared resolved later Wednesday morning.
