SEE: New York Anchor's Water Breaks On Air

A whole different kind of breaking news.

NEW YORK CITY — Natalie Pasquarella's baby boy just couldn't wait. The NBC News 4 New York anchor gave birth to her son after her water broke during a newscast the night before, the local station reported.

Pasquarella was wrapping up a segment about Twitter's longer character limit during Tuesday night's 11 p.m. broadcast when she let out a giggle that sent her into labor, co-anchor Jummy Olabanji revealed on Wednesday night's news program.

"That little giggle, that laugh, was the moment Natalie's water broke live on this set, live on air," Olabanji said.

Pasquarella, who has co-anchored the 11 p.m. news since October 2016, wrapped up the show at the 30 Rockefeller Plaza studios before heading to a hospital with her husband, Jamin, NBC News 4 reported. Baby boy Jamin James Pastore was born 13 hours later, weighing 5 pounds and 6 ounces, according to the network.

"A beautiful blessing decided to make his entrance early!" Pasquarella tweeted on Thursday. "Thankful for all of the well wishes. Our hearts are full!"

Pasquarella's co-workers expressed delight over Pasquarella's photos of little Jamin on TV, calling him "just perfect" and "a baby for the ages."

"That's the best news we've had on here in a long time," weather anchor Dave Price said Wednesday night.
