NYC Subway Delays: These 8 Lines Ran Slow As Polls Opened

Tuesday got off to a slow start for some straphangers as MTA dealt with a medical emergency and problems with signals and switches.

NEW YORK CITY — Many New Yorkers headed to work — or the polls for the state's primary election — had a slow start to their Tuesday as delays hit several subway lines.

The 4/5/6 lines ran with delays and changes as crews grappled with a switch problem at 125th Street, the MTA posted at 7:45 a.m.

Southbound 4 trains ran on the local tracks from 125th Street to Grand Central, while 6 trains headed south were put on express tracks, officials said.

A signal problem near Queensboro Plaza caused delays for 7 trains running in both directions, the MTA posted at 7:48 a.m.

Delays hit N/Q/R/W trains headed south as EMS medics helped someone in need of medical help at Canal Street, the MTA posted at 7:47 a.m.
