NYC Weather: Sun Returns After Days Of Storms

NEW YORK — New Yorkers can finally ditch their umbrellas. Sunshine and cool summer temperatures are ushering in the start of this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday will be sunny with a high temperature near 72 degrees, forecasters say. Winds could get as strong as 26 mph.

The sunshine continues into Tuesday, but it won't last long.

Stormy weather will return midweek, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday, the forecast shows.
