Stop Selling Ghost Gun Parts In NY Now: AG To Firearms Distributors
Attorney General Letitia James took court action Thursday to immediately stop six companies from selling ghost gun parts in New York.

NEW YORK CITY — Six "ghost gun" distributors already in the crosshairs of New York officials got hit with a court demand by Attorney General Letitia James to immediately stop selling in the state.
James filed a preliminary injunction Thursday against companies she accused of selling and shipping illegal ghost gun parts into New York.
All six companies sold at least one unfinished handgun to uncover investigators in Manhattan, Brooklyn and The Bronx, a court motion filed by James states.

“We cannot and will not allow our children and our communities to continue to live in fear that their school, parade, or grocery store will be next," James said in a statement. "Today, we are taking serious action to immediately stop these companies from illegally selling and bringing these dangerous ghost gun parts into New York."
The filing follows James' and Mayor Eric Adams' announcement in late June that they'd both sue a group of manufacturers that sell the untraceable firearms, which are sold in parts to New Yorkers and built into firearms illegal in the city and state.

The announcement coincided with Attorney General Letitia James taking action against six national gun distributors that she accused of selling and shipping illegal ghost gun parts into New York.
Many public officials across the nation have decried ghost guns, which they argue contribute to a surge in firearms violence.
James' injunction sites several instances of violence linked to ghost guns, "from a triple shooting in the Bronx, to domestic violence in Queens, and a drive-by and the shooting of a police detective north of Buffalo."
The motion asks a judge to order six companies — Brownells, Inc., Rock Slide USA, LLC, Arm or Ally, LLC, Rainier Arms, LLC, Salvo Technologies, Inc. and Indie Guns, LLC — to immediately stop selling and sending gun parts to New York.
