Holidays on the Farm: The 49th Annual Holiday Exhibition

The winter season through most of 18th and 19th centuries in Rockland County began with the holidays of Christmas and New Year’s. These holidays had both secular and religious significance for county residents. Between them they created a holiday week during which the regular routine of farm chores was enlivened by special foods and festivities. In the 49th Annual Holiday Exhibition, "Holidays on the Farm," we explore our county's rich agricultural heritage, highlighting unique features of the holiday season.

Wednesday Games

Doors open at 5:40 pm for our holiday dinner with Bingo&nbsp;play starting at 7:30 pm. Bingo games are open to the public.
Packages are priced at $42, $35 and $25 plus $3 admission. They contain nine games with other games available for purchase including Pull Tabs&nbsp;Quickies, two progressive bonanza jackpots and nightly specials. Games end at approximately 10 pm.
 
All game boards are paper with electronic verification. Pre-packaged snacks, beverages and bingo supplies are available for purchase.

Bingo is played in Beth Am Temple’s climate-controlled, ground-level social hall which has cushioned seating. The room is brightly lit and has its own sound system. The building is handicapped accessible with a well-lit parking lot.

Join Community and Group Menorah Lighting Events

Beth Am Temple will host annual Hanukkah Community and Group Menorah Lighting events open to the public in December. The Community Menorah Lighting will be co-hosted with Chabad of The Nyacks and take place outdoors in the heart of Pearl River at the corner of Main Street and Central Ave on Monday, December 15 at 5:30 pm. Hanukkah treats will be available after the lighting.
On Friday, December 19, the Hanukkah Group Menorah Lighting service happens inside Beth Am Temple at 7 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring a menorah and seven candles for lighting during the Shabbat service. The family-friendly program with joyous music and songs will be followed by a festive Oneg with Hanukkah specialties and desserts. 
Beth Am Temple is a reform temple, which embraces tradition and draws its congregation from throughout Rockland County, NY and northern Bergen County, NJ.
