Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. BELLEROSE TERRACE, NY – A 23-year-old Long Island man is charged with attempted murder after he stabbed another man multiple times in the head with a screwdriver Tuesday morning, police said. According to Nassau Police, an argument between the two men turned violent inside a Bellerose Terrace home around 11:36 a.m. Brandon Karran attacked a 20-year-old man, choking him and stabbing him, police said. When police arrived at the home, they found the 20-year-old, who police did not name, on the front lawn of the home. He was taken to a local hospital. His current condition is unclear. Karran was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with second degree attempted murder, second degree attempted assault, third degree criminal mischief and obstruction of breathing. He will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.NCPD photo
