Herricks HS Senior Earns National Merit Walgreen Co. Scholarship
The award recognizes those judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in college.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A New Hyde Park senior has been selected as winner of the National Merit Walgreen Co. Scholarship.
Daniel Min, a Herricks High School student, was announced as the winner this week, according to the district.The award is sponsored by Walgreen Co.
Earlier this school year, Min was recognized as a National Merit semifinalist and finalist in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Winners were chosen from the finalist group based on their abilities, skills and accomplishments. They represent those in each state determined to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
Min is an AP Scholar and qualified for the state Chemistry Olympiad. He plans to attend New York University in the fall.
