NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A crash on the westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway snarled traffic during the Tuesday evening rush-hour commute. The crash happened around 4:50 p.m. near Exit 34 for New Hyde Park Road, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Three of four lanes were closed briefly but have since reopened.
