Northern State Parkway Motorcycle Crash: Lanes Reopened

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — All lanes have reopened on the westbound lanes of the Northern State Parkway in New Hyde Park following a motorcycle crash, according to the state Department of Transportation. The crash happened around 11:25 a.m. Monday near exit 26S for New Hyde Park Road, state transportation officials said. Two right and center lanes were closed. All had reopened as of 12:10 p.m.

Traffic cameras appeared to show a red motorcycle lying in the middle lanes with police officers standing around the vehicle. An ambulance arrived at the scene and emergency workers wheeled a gurney to the vehicle.
