Today’s opportunity is for the Huguenot Academy’s Holiday Stocking Stuffer Gift Drive for Students and Caregivers. The alternative high school in the City School District of New Rochelle needs volunteers to help with the drive. Volunteers can purchase any or all of the items on the wishlist — including gift cards from local grocery stores — and drop them off at the school at specified times. The grocery store gift cards will be distributed equally among 30 caregivers and parents of students who are unemployed or underemployed, and holiday stockings and stocking stuff items will be added to “Holiday Totes” that will be given to 72 students to help spread a little holiday cheer.
This self-directed project is perfect for a team of colleagues, families and religious groups.
