Lottery Open For 29 Affordable Units In New Rochelle Luxury Tower

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The newest luxury apartment building in downtown New Rochelle is now accepting applications for 29 "fair and affordable rent" housing units.

7th District Legislator Catherine Parker announced that 3THIRTY3, the 28-story newly built residential building located at 333 Huguenot St. in downtown New Rochelle will have a portion of its units set aside for affordable housing.

Luxury amenities of the property include views of the Manhattan skyline and Long Island Sound, smart home systems with keyless entry, the only indoor/outdoor pool in New Rochelle, 2 Tesla cars available for residents, golf and sports simulator, mixology lounge, infrared sauna and TULU on-demand access to household items. The pet-friendly building also has a fitness center, outdoor terrace with firepit, resident lounge, 24/7 concierge services, community garden, co-working space, free on-site parking and in-unit washer/dryer.

There are 7 studios, 13 one-bedrooms and 9 two-bedrooms set aside as affordable units in the new building, which amount to 10 percent of the total units.

Preference for the units will be given to those who already live in the Downtown Overlay Zone and others who work or live in New Rochelle. The apartments will be available for occupancy during the spring of this year.

The apartments are available to those with a household income below 80 percent of the average monthly income in the region. A single person would need to make less than $71,400 annually to be eligible, while a four-person family can earn up to $102,000.

Winning applicants will pay $1,660 per month for a studio apartment, $1,767 for a one-bedroom unit and $2118 for a two-bedroom. Utilities are not included.

Applications for the apartments must be received by the Housing Action Council by April 20, 2022.
