Lottery Open For New Affordable Workforce Apartments In Westchester

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A new chance for renters to combat the ongoing affordable housing crisis is here for a lucky few.

New York State Homes and Community Renewal announced that there are lottery chances for 178 affordable rentals at the Renaissance at Lincoln Park, located at 117 Guion Place in New Rochelle, now open and applications are being accepted from those who qualify.

The newly constructed 11-story building is a 150,000-square-foot Enterprise Green Community certified workforce housing development with high-quality finishes, and sustainable materials/energy systems. It includes amenities such as air conditioning, a community room, a roof deck, a lounge and patio, a fitness center, a parking garage, an onsite laundry facility, cable service, a bike room, swimming, resident activities, and direct access to the new, state-of-the-art 22,000-square-foot Boys & Girls Club.

Tenants will be responsible for electric. While the building is pet-friendly, breed restrictions apply.

The rentals are available to those at or below 40 percent - 80 percent of the area average monthly household income.

Monthly rental prices for the affordable units available, based on Area Median Income (AMI) are:

• Studio: $843, $1053, $1264, $1686
• One-bedroom: $903, $1128, $1354, $1806
• Two-bedroom: $1083, $1353, $1624

Priority admissions are for mobility-disabled applicants (5 percent) and hearing/vision disabled applicants (2 percent).

The deadline for applications is September 29, 2023.
