New Lottery Open For 133 Affordable Apartments At 'Highgarden Tower'
Rents at the tower range from $1,358 for a studio to $2,498 for a two-bedroom for those meeting household income requirements.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Yet another new chance for renters to combat the ongoing affordable housing crisis is here for a lucky few in a new 100 percent affordable tower.
Westchester Residential Opportunities announced that Highgarden Tower, a newly constructed 19-story, 100 percent affordable apartment building located at 11 Garden St. in New Rochelle, will have 219 affordable units, with 133 of them available by lottery.
Amenities will include a learning center, an 8000-square-foot incubator space, a clubhouse, a gym, a public plaza and a 146-space parking garage.

Affordable units will be available to those earning less than 80 percent of the area average monthly household income.

11 units will be set aside for mobility disability, while 5 units will be set aside for hearing/vision disability.
The deadline for applications is April 10, 2024, at 4 p.m. Selections will be made by lottery on April 25, 2024, at 11 a.m. Sending more than one application will disqualify you. Applications received after the deadline will be waitlisted.
