New Rochelle Library To Celebrate Grand Opening Of Its New Children's Garden At 2025 Spooktacular Celebration
It's downright spooky how cool the renovated children's garden is, and the perfect October event will make it chillingly clear.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Grab your little goblins and head to the New Rochelle Public Library this weekend for the opening of the Children's Garden and a Spooktacular Celebration.
The New Rochelle Public Library announced that it will be celebrating the grand opening of its Children's Garden with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and family festival at the main branch of the library this Saturday, at 1:30 p.m.
The library says that the renovated garden will have a new outdoor pavilion, providing more space for children's programs and community gatherings. The project was made possible through the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation, which secured an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant from the City of New Rochelle.

"Children’s imaginations bloom when they have spaces to create, play, and connect," Eugenia Schatoff, Executive Director of the New Rochelle Public Library, said. "This new pavilion opens the door to even more outdoor programming for families across our community."
The festivities will begin with a ribbon-cutting and performance by Songcatchers, followed by pumpkin decorating, face painting, a Halloween Dreams & Screams concert with Rock Your World Kids, and photo ops with Esteban the Magnificent from The Day the Crayons Came Home.
