O’Shaughnessy Family Sells Iconic Westchester Radio Station: Report
The station will be taken over by religious broadcaster Hope Media Group, according to Radio+Television Business Report's Adam Jacobson.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A longtime companion of Westchester County commuters, office workers and news junkies could soon be absent from the FM dial, according to a report from Radio+Television Business Report's Adam Jacobson.
The industry magazine has confirmed that the family of Bill O’Shaughnessy, who died in May last year, has agreed to sell the WVIP 93.5 FM broadcast license.
Religious broadcaster Hope Media Group will reportedly take over the station, which draws loyal listeners from across Westchester County, and as far as Long Island and the Bronx.

The deal is said to be worth an agreed-upon $8.15 million, with an $800,000 escrow deposit already in the bank.
