NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Trump Plaza might get a new moniker after the building's condo board voted to drop the organization as the building's management firm, according to a new report.

If the high-rise tower on Huguenot Street in downtown New Rochelle drops the Trump name, it will be the second residential building in Westchester to make that decision in as many months. Last month, residents of the Trump Tower at City Center in White Plains voted overwhelmingly to erase the Trump name from the property.

The board at Trump Plaza New Rochelle has decided to switch its management agent from the Trump Organization to AKAM, according to a memo to condo owners first obtained by The Real Deal's Akiko Matsuda. The change at the 40-story residential and commercial tower will go into effect beginning Oct. 1, the report confirms.

The condo board reached its decision “after a comprehensive management search and due diligence process,” according to excerpts from the notice. The change of management doesn't necessarily mean the prominent landmark in the New Rochelle skyline will be getting a new name on the marquis. Residents will vote on any possible renaming in the coming weeks.

An earlier version of this article identified the new management agent at the building at 175 Huguenot St. as "AKAM Associates," the correct and up-to-date name of the firm is "AKAM."
