Volunteer Opportunities Of The Week: Help Pack 50,000 Meals
Every week, Patch will spotlight volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Each week, Patch will be highlighting volunteer opportunities in the Hudson Valley. This will be a chance to help your community and be an opportunity to give back — perhaps in a way you didn't consider before.
This week, we are putting the spotlight on some opportunities in the Hudson Valley.
Farm and Field Days
Volunteers will help the Cropsey Community Farm crew with tasks such as harvesting, planting, seeding, and weeding. All supplies, tools, and gloves will be provided. Volunteers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend over, and kneel for extended periods of time. This is a great opportunity for office groups seeking team-building activities, school groups who want to learn about the environment, and any volunteer who is looking to build a sense of community and complete fulfilling work outdoors.
Date: 9/4 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and 12-4 p.m.; Thursdays
Organization: Rockland Community Farm Network
