Assemblyman Losquadro Thanks Residents For CAST Donations

Assemblyman Daniel P. Losquadro, R-Shoreham, held a successful back-to-school supply drive at his district office during the month of August and wants to thank the residents of the First Assembly District for their generous donations. Once the supplies were dropped off at Assemblyman Losquadro’s office, they were delivered to nonprofits and parish outreach centers, where they were then distributed directly to families on their respective lists.

“Thanks to your donations my staff and I have been able to provide boxes and backpacks full of school supplies to families and children in need in the townships of Brookhaven, Riverhead and Southold,” Assemblyman Losquadro said. “Your donations went a long way towards assisting these nonprofits and parish outreach centers with reaching their goals of providing for all the families in need they had identified.”

One of the outreach establishments supplies were delivered to was Community Action Southold Town (CAST) in Greenport.  CAST is a nonprofit organization focused on meeting the basic needs of low income families in Southold.

“We are very fortunate to have a great community that is always showing good will towards helping the less fortunate,” said Linda Ortiz, Director of Community Action Southold Town. “All donations go directly to the families in need on our list and it is a nice feeling to know that there are caring people who want to help us achieve this goal.”

“Once again, I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the residents in the First Assembly District,” Assemblyman Losquadro said. “Thank you for your donations.”
