Greenport Light Plant Providing Water; Storm Prep Guide on Website
Moores Lane plant still providing water as villagers prepare for Hurricane Sandy.
Thought many grocery stores and mini marts are running out of bottled water, the Light Plant on Moores Lane in Greenport is available for residents to fill up empty bottles for 50 cent a container, according to Village Trustee Mary Bess Phillips.
The village has also posted a guideline to preparing for Sandy and advice for weathering the storm on their website. The guideline is also attached to this post.
