Greenport Man Charged With Felony DWI: Police
He backed into a woman's parked vehicle, police say.
NORTH FORK, NY — A Greenport man was arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated Friday afternoon, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 4:59 p.m. on Main Street. Troy Poteet, 64, was backing out of a parking space at a gas station when he struck a parked and unoccupied vehicle belonging to a Port Jefferson woman, 35, police said.
He was found to be intoxicated, placed under arrest, and charged with felony DWI, police said.
