Intoxicated Woman Involved In Crash At North Fork Supermarket Parking Lot: Police

She was charged with a felony, police say.

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A Mattituck woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash in a supermarket parking lot earlier this month, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the incident happened on July 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Cutchogue King Kullen.

Danielle Nicole Cardone, 49, was charged with felony DWI after she struck a parked vehicle in the parking lot, police said.

Southold Town police responded to the parking lot of King Kullen after Cardone, driving a red 2013 Hyundai Sonata, hit the front end of gray Nissan that was parked and unattended in the parking lot, authorities said.

Cardone was found to be the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle; further investigation revealed Cardone to be intoxicated, police said. She was transported to the Southold Town Police Department for arrest processing and held overnight to await arraignment before the Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
