Look forward to the warmer weather (hopefully to arrive soon) with these five things to know today.

Take the opportunity today to talk over any issue you have with the Southold Town Board and have fun with the family with some mad Wii today.

1. and Supervisor Scott Russell meet today for work session at 9 a.m. and for their regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include changes to the yellow bag requirement at the comprehensive plan and the on-going negotiations between the Town and the 631-765-1800.

2. , 750 Pacific Street in Mattituck, invites East End residents to participate in a discussion with the at 6 p.m. Discussion will include the expansion of programs and services for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people on the East End. Call 631-665-2300.

3. Do your teens love the Take them to the , 53705 Route 25 in Southold for a rousing session of the realistic video game at 4 p.m. — and try a few swings at virtual baseball yourself. Call 631-765-2077.

5. On a more somber note related to animals, a local woman recently posted an on North Fork Patch that her horses were found tethered together and hooked to the barn walls this past weekend. The woman is looking for the intruder who might have done this act which traumatized the animals. North Fork Patch will pursue this story to try and help — stay tuned.
