Today's topic comes from North Fork Patch contributor . Jennifer, a 44-year-old writer and psychotherapist, lives with her 4-year-old son in Aquebogue. She moved from New York City to the East End of Long Island in 1997.

"For me it's about how to organize the summer so that my son is busy every day and in the most economical, summertime, take-advantage-of-the-North-Fork way possible," she said.
