1. The Wading River family whose first baby, Ruby June Cotter, received a heart transplant for Christmas two years ago is hoping their second child will also get a new heart. Everett will turn a year old on Thursday. (Patch)
2. Riverhead Town Police are seeking two teenage boys who left Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch in Riverhead. Ja-wan Groover, 15, and Anthony Salinas, 17, left the Middle Road facility on Christmas Eve around noon. (RiverheadLOCAL)
3. United States Navy veteran, former presiding officer and six-term Suffolk County legislator, family court judge and commissioner of Social Services Greg Blass will take over RISE Life Services in Riverhead. (Dan's Papers)
