- The brother of slain Long Island mom Melissa Molinari has set up a GoFundMe for her five children, four under age 18. Molinari's husband, from Centereach, has been charged with her murder. (Patch)
- Peacock TV premiered a documentary on the Gabby Petito case on Friday. "The Murder of Gabby Petito: Truth, Lies, and Social Media" is billed as including an exclusive interview with the slain Long Islander's parents. (Patch)
- North Fork membership clubs offer subscriptions of local goods and wares delivered to your door. Little Ram Oyster Co. even has a New York Oyster-of-the-Month Club, featuring both Little Ram and other New York oysters. (Northforker)
- Island Harvest usually helps deliver food to Long Islanders but this year they are asking for donations of toys for the holiday season. Some families the group serves are unable to afford any presents for their children. (News 12)
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' New York District kicked off a $1.7 billion project at the Fire Island Lighthouse on Friday. The Fire Island to Montauk Point (FIMP) coastal-storm risk-management project will reduce flood risk along 83 miles of coastline from Fire Island to Montauk Point. (East End Beacon)
