A new robocall scam is targeting North Fork residents. And a new Italian restaurant opens this week in Riverhead.

Here are the top stories in North Fork today:

1. Riverhead News Review warns resident that robocalls claiming to be a Riverhead police officer are a scam. Disregard calls from 631-902-5121 or a "Sergeant Frost." (Patch)
2. Northforker checks out Insatiable Eats Creative Kitchen, which opens Monday in Riverhead. Sicilian pizza, a coffee bar, imported panettone, chocolate and other fine foods, and a buffet of hot Italian dishes are features. (Patch)
3. Lisa Finn explains that Gov. Kathy Hochul signed new legislation to promote aquaculture. The new law permits kelp cultivation underwater in Gardiners and Peconic Bays on the East End. (Patch)
4. Get more details about the one-man "A Christmas Carol" that will once again play at First & South in Greenport. The show, from Broadway orchestrator Ethan Popp and his wife, costume designer Vanessa Leuck, is a dinner theater production in a heated tent. (Northforker)
