  1. Southold's town board voted Tuesday to amend Southold's transient rental code to allow for short-term rentals in commercial properties. (Patch)
  2. Riverhead's annual holiday parade and bonfire has been postponed again due to weather. The new date is Sunday, Dec. 19. (Patch)
  3. A Coram man, Derrick Dixon, was arrested after he tried to steal a laptop from a woman sitting in her vehicle in the Riverhead Walmart parking lot on Old Country Road. (Patch)
  4. Riverhead Police identified a man killed in Wednesday's crash at the intersection of Reeves and Horton avenues in Riverhead: 85-year-old Patrick Welby of Calverton. (RiverheadLOCAL)
