- Two teenagers from Manorville have been missing since last Thursday. Vincent Abolafia and his girlfriend, Kaileigh Catalano, both 15, were last seen at the Ronkonkoma LIRR station planning to take a 3:11 p.m. train to Manhattan. They may have been seen in Times Square. (Patch)
- Today is the first day of new state-wide requirements for masks or vaccines in public places. The mandate is in effect until Jan. 15, when New York will reevaluate the status of cases, hospitalizations and vaccinations. (News 12)
- Gingerbread University, a shop where families can build gingerbread houses, has reopened in a new location. Previously in Riverhead, the store is open now until the end of December at the Shoppes at East Wind. (Northforker)
