Pedestrian Airlifted After Being Struck By Vehicle In Peconic: Police
No charges have been filed, police say.
PECONIC, NY — A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a driver in Peconic Thursday night, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 9:52 p.m. on Route 25 when a woman, 60, of Greenport, was heading east and struck Christian Napolitano, 31, of Shelter Island, police said.
Napolitano was treated at the scene and then transported to Stony Brook University Hospital by Suffolk County Police aviation, police said.

The incident is being investigated by the Southold Police Department's detective division and has been deemed as non-criminal at this time, police said.
