On December 29th, Nyack Hospital honored longtime employee and friend, Frances Pratt on the occasion of her retirement. A member of the Nyack Hospital family for over 50 years, Frances began her career in 1959 in the Emergency Department and rose to the position of Manager of Employee Health Services prior to retiring last month. “Hat Pratt,” as she is affectionately known to many, was extremely dedicated to Nyack Hospital, and could always be counted on to provide her own unique viewpoint and insight. She always brought a sense of elegance to the hallways of Nyack Hospital, and, on special occasions, would be seen wearing one of her signature hats.
“Frances will always be a member of the Nyack Hospital family. Throughout her many years here, Frances touched so many lives and was a friend to everyone,” remarked Mary Shinick, Vice President, Human Resources.
Frances’ influence was felt far beyond the walls of Nyack Hospital, as she held leadership positions in many civic, religious and nursing organizations throughout Rockland County.
