Nyack, NY – May 12, 2012 - It was about great music. It was about charity. Put them together, and you have the makings of a very special evening, indeed. Last night, some very lucky people attended a benefit solo musical performance at Black Bear Saloon in Nyack by none other than Todd Sheaffer, lead singer and acoustic guitarist of fast rising, nationally acclaimed band Railroad Earth (www.railroadearth.com).
Benefiting United Hospice of Rockland, close to 100 people (including some hardcore Railroad Earth fans!) relished Sheaffer’s soulful singing as much as his masterful musicianship on his acoustic guitar and harp. Singing ballads that spoke of personal journeys down the long road of life, it was nearly impossible not to be moved by these well constructed ballads. Concert producers Mike Seidenfrau and Dave Hackmeyer are to be commended for their great work in putting this event together.

Railroad Earth, currently on a national tour, will be appearing along with a host of other great bands at the Mighty High Mountain Festival this coming weekend (May 18/19) at the Tuxedo Ridge Ski Area in Tuxedo, NY.
Laurie Bandremer, Special Events Coordinator for United Hospice of Rockland said “Todd’s show was just fantastic. It means so much that good people like Todd, Dave, Mike and all of the good people that came out to support this charitable effort are keeping organizations like United Hospice of Rockland in their hearts. We can’t thank them enough!”
