Don't Miss It: Nyack Jazz Week Finale
The week-long celebration of jazz and blues will culminate tonight with a performance by Grammy-winner Dave Valentin.
Nyack's annual jazz week may be winding down, but some of the biggest events are yet to come.
The village's annual celebration of quick rhythms and melodic brass began Sunday, July 25 at Olive's—the performance featured the Rockland County Jazz and Blues Society's veterans Duane Eubanks (trumpet) and Ralph Lalama (saxaphone).
The Rockland County Jazz and Blues Society (RCJBS) is one of the event's sponsors. A non-profit organization, RCJBS seeks to promote jazz music and culture through concerts, performances and other events.

At least one performance was put on each night of the week at indoor and outdoor venues. On Tuesday evening, Big Band Swing Machine played at the Memorial Park gazebo to hundreds of picnicking families.
The week-long music celebration will culminate this weekend with a Saturday grand finale. The finale will be divided into two shows—one at 8 p.m. and one at 10 p.m.—at the Hudson House. The show will feature jazz musician and Grammy-winner Dave Valentin and his quartet. The entrance fee is $15.
