Concert For Peace at FOR

The first in HUD VAL FOR’s 2012 Concerts for Peace Series. An evening of varied entertainment featuring Gypsy Jazz, swing, blues and other acoustic music at Shadowcliff, a 19th century mansion on the Hudson River. Entertainment by the String Jazz Society (Paul Speziale, Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo; Nick Esposito, Guitar, Joseph M. Peterson, Upright Bass, Jay Erlich, Violin) with special guest Ron Giles, vocalist. String Jazz Society performances feature the Great American Songbook (George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Cole Porter, etc.) performed in the style of Django Reinhardt and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France during the 1930's-1940's. Also appearing is local singer/songwriter Michael Miller, performing original compositions, and selected covers.
