Contact: Nyack High School 353-7100, Tom Burns, SOS Advisor

Nyack High School’s SOS (Students Opposing Starvation) is sponsoring an exciting, delicious and worthy fundraising activity on Wednesday, March 14 from 6 – 8 PM in the High School cafeteria. The group will be bringing to the community the Empty Bowls Project, a worldwide effort to reduce world hunger.

The Empty Bowls Project is a project in which ceramic bowls created by students and staff are sold to attendees and used to serve homemade soup in. Bowls are kept as a reminder that there are always empty bowls in the world. In exchange for the bowl, the soup and musical entertainment there is a $15 donation requested for adults/$10 for students.
