Nyack Advertises New Public Job Online

Village seeks part-time municipal planner

The village of Nyack has cast out a net to nab a village planner, a when lawmakers were hammering out the .

The candidate selected will work part-time and receive an annual stipend of about $7,500.

Village officials posted a classified on the government's website Tuesday, calling out for "a well-rounded planner with excellent communication and technical skills, along with expertise in economic development."

Job duties include drawing up zoning ordinances and subdivision regulations. The planner will also have a small management role, and may be asked to work certain evenings.

Minimum qualifications include a degree in community planning and two years of relevant experience.
