Nyack Chamber and Fugawi MC Cares Host Nyack's First Motorcycle Expo

Great evening for bike lovers, families and friends; DJ entertainment, after-parties in Nyack restaurants and bars.

Nyack, NY, May 18, 2016 ― Anyone who owns a motorcycle, dreams of owning one, or simply appreciates a cool machine will want to come to Nyack on Thursday, June 2 for the Village’s first-ever Motorcycle Expo. Hosted by the Nyack Chamber of Commerce and Fugawi MC Cares, the event will offer visitors an array of spectacular bikes ― from vintage to new ― on display from 5:00 pm until dusk along Nyack’s Main Street from Cedar to Franklin and in the Main Street Municipal lot.

A rain date is set for the following Thursday, June 9. Admission is free — and registration for display motorcycles
is also free.

Fugawi MC Cares, the charity arm of the Fugawi MC® motorcycle club, is teaming with Inserra Supermarkets/ShopRite Partners in Caring to collect non-perishable food donations from the public at the event. Donations will benefit Soup Angels, an all-volunteer, non-profit, non-denominational group affiliated with the First Reformed Church of Nyack. Soup Angels serves meals to the elderly, homeless and working poor and their families.

Generous sponsorship for the event is provided by Autobahn Indoor Speedway – Palisades Center, BIG BOYZ TOYZ, Fugawi MC Hudson Valley, Hudson Valley Harley-Davidson, Motorhead Motorcycles and Palisades Auto Sales. Promising a spring evening full of fun for motorcycle aficionados, families and friends alike, entertainment will include classic favorites spun up by DJ Don, featuring Metal Mark.

Visitors coming to Nyack to show their bikes and admire those on display can stroll down the center of Main Street and take advantage of the wide variety of pubs, dining choices and eclectic array of specialty shops available throughout the Village. Local establishments will be offering specials and hosting after-parties, adding further temptations to the evening’s mix.

"This community-centered event promises to attract a strong showing of motorcycle enthusiasts — people who take pride in owning and riding special vehicles as well as people who appreciate them,” said Scott Baird, Chamber President. “It’s also a great opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy the Village’s unique restaurants, boutiques and nightspots."
