Customers throughout Nyack and South, West and Central Nyack—all of whom receive their water from Nyack Water Company—were affected by the advisory. Homeowners and businesses were urged to boil all tap water before drinking, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
The news comes on the heels of reports from the Rockland County Department of Health, which found no harmful microbes in the water supply after a days-long testing period.

"We're grateful for everyone's patience," Laird-White said.
The alert began Saturday, when a busted water pipe in West Nyack decreased water pressure. Residents throughout the region were left with little or no water, of discolored streams. Some had to rely on bottled drinks and port-a-potties.
Laird-White said residents were notified through the village's website and the NY Alert service.
"We're using this as a impetus to have people sign up for these alerts," she said.
