Is staging a home worth it?
Survey shows it could make your home sell faster. Here's a look at the numbers behind this home staging survey.

Nearly half of seller's agents (48%) reported that staging a home decreased its time on market, according to a new report released by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). For both buyers' and sellers' agents, one in five (20%) said home staging increased the offer price by between 1% and 5% compared to similar homes on the market that weren't staged.
Here's a rundown of the stats from this survey:
- 58% of buyers' agents say home staging impacted most buyers' view of the home most of the time, while 31% said it has an effect, but not always.
- 81% of buyers' agents said staging makes it easier for a buyer to see the property as a future home.
- 23% of sellers' agents said they staged all sellers' homes prior to listing them for sale. 10% noted that they only staged homes that were difficult to sell.
- It was most common for sellers' agents to use a staging service (24%). Sellers' agents also said that it depends on the situation (24%), and sellers' agents also personally offered to stage the home (22%).
