Total home sales in Rockland, Westchester plummet in Q1

Meanwhile, median and average sale prices were up.

Among the counties in the Hudson Valley, Rockland County saw the largest drop in residential home sales in Q1 2023 compared to Q1 2022. The drop was 38%, according to HGAR OneKey MLSstats. This includes single-family homes, condominiums, co-operatives and 2-4 family multi-family homes.

Westchester County total residential sales fell 32.7%. Meanwhile Putnam, Orange, Sullivan and Bronx counties saw drops of 31.7%, 35.1%, 31.6% and 24.8%, respectively.

As for median sales price for single-family homes, Rockland, Westchester and Orange counties saw an increase in Q1 2023 compared to the same quarter last year:
