A flatbed truck carrying a dump truck hit a Thruway overpass in Spring Valley Saturday evening, causing a nearby car to crash, according to state police. The dump truck had a salt spread on top, which collided with the Hungry Hollow Road overpass at around 5:50 p.m. and fell into the roadway. Police said there were no injuries, though a southbound lane was closed for one hour. A 69-year-old Chestnut Ridge man and 37-year-old Irvington man were in the Subaru Forester affected.
