West Nyack Native Presents at College's Student Research Day

Colleen Parker, a graduate student from West Nyack, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on April 20.
Parker developed an original project titled "Monitoring of Mercury in Catskill Region Fish" under the guidance of Kiyoko Yokota of the Biology Department/Biological Field Station. It was one of 134 poster presentations displayed at the college's Hunt Union during the daylong showcase.

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research and Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 180 students, supported by 66 faculty sponsors, participated in this year's event, which featured presentations on a wide variety of topics across academic disciplines.
