Bart D'Uva, 86, Served his Community and Country

Bart D’Uva of Ossining died Nov. 24, 2013, he was 86. He was born Aug. 25, 1927 to Carmine & Annunziata (Velardo) D’Uva in Sassinoro, Italy.
Bart served in both the US Army & US Navy. He owned and operated Pircio Cleaners for many years. Bart was a past-president of the Ossining Rotary Club, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Ossining Fire Dept., Holla Hose, and the American Legion Post 506.
He was predeceased by his wife Anne of 60 years and sister Victoria Haggerty. Bart is survived by his daughters Nancy Variano (Joseph), Marybeth Walton, Kathleen McFadden, Eileen Gilligan (James), Andrea Enterlein (Kevin), Lisa D’Uva, brothers Angelo, Michael, Joseph sister Elizabeth King, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He will be reposing Tues., Nov. 26, 2-4 & 7-9pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Wed. 11:30am at St. Ann’s Church, burial St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
